Quality Inspector - Dry Mortar Factory

About the Role

Twyford International Kenya seeks a diligent and responsible Quality Inspector to join our Dry Mortar Factory team in Kajiado, Kenya. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about ensuring exceptional product quality and continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality inspections throughout the dry mortar production process to verify adherence to process and quality standards.
• Monitor proportioning, batching, and mixing activities to ensure compliance with established requirements and specifications.
• Conduct final product inspections to confirm key quality parameters such as bond strength, compressive strength, flexural strength, and flowability.
• Prevent release of any products failing to meet quality criteria to customers.
• Accurately maintain and record inspection reports, test data, and quality documentation ensuring traceability.
• Identify, report, and follow up on quality deviations and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Analyze inspection data regularly to detect trends and contribute to continuous quality improvement strategies.
• Engage in corrective and preventive action programs as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials, Applied Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least one year of relevant experience preferred; however, fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in quality inspection within dry mortar, cement, concrete, construction materials, or related industries is advantageous.
• Fundamental computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data management and reporting.
