Role Overview

The position available is for a full-time, on-site Qualitative Researcher based in Singapore. The selected individual will be responsible for designing and executing qualitative studies aimed at understanding users’ behaviors, needs, and challenges. Key methodologies include conducting interviews, performing field observations, and facilitating diary studies. Synthesizing the collected data into actionable insights, creating research frameworks and knowledge maps, and collaborating closely with product and design teams are vital aspects of this role. Responsibilities further involve planning research initiatives, recruiting study participants, analyzing data, generating reports and presentations, and managing an organized, verifiable research database within the Atlas platform. Working alongside cross-functional teams ensures research findings effectively shape decision-making and product development strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in qualitative research and ethnographic methods, with proven experience in designing and carrying out studies centered on user behavior and context.
  • Demonstrated capability in market research, translating insights into practical recommendations for product and business improvements.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret complex data, discern patterns, and create coherent narratives and visual presentations of findings.
  • Acquaintance with quantitative research techniques to support qualitative insights, including survey formulation, data interpretation, and mixed-method methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, skilled in preparing concise reports, presentations for stakeholders, and summarizing insights effectively.
  • Proficiency with various research tools and software such as usability testing platforms, survey applications, and data visualization or knowledge mapping instruments.
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently within cross-disciplinary teams, manage multiple research projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant area like Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, Market Research, or an equivalent practical background.
  • Prior experience in technology sectors, SaaS companies, or product-centric enterprises is advantageous.
