QA/QC Architectural Engineer

About the Role

BEC Arabia is recruiting a QA/QC Architectural Engineer to boost quality assurance and control for architectural components in their Riyadh construction projects. This role emphasizes compliance and ensures deliverables meet high professional standards, contributing to Saudi Vision 2030 mega-projects. Collaborating with diverse professionals, the engineer will manage quality protocols and inspections consistent with Saudi Building Code (SBC), LEED, and related standards to uphold the company’s excellent construction reputation.

Responsibilities

• Design and enforce QA/QC protocols for architectural work matching project specs, SBC, and global benchmarks.
• Carry out systematic inspections of materials and workmanship to verify compliance with quality and project demands.
• Engage with project teams to troubleshoot quality problems and support architectural technical queries.
• Document all QA/QC activities, including inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective measures.
• Ensure adherence to LEED, Mostadam, and sustainability criteria where relevant.
• Assess and approve architectural shop drawings, material submissions, and execution plans for quality conformity.
• Analyze root causes for issues and establish corrective and preventive steps.
• Liaise with clients and external inspectors to resolve quality concerns ensuring satisfaction.
• Guide and train site teams on QA/QC standards and best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive QA/QC records for audits and project handovers.
• Enforce safety guidelines such as OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001 during QA/QC tasks.
• Assist in project closure verifying fulfillment of contractual and regulatory architectural requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years experience in QA/QC roles focused on architectural projects.
• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration or eligibility.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and architectural design software.
• Strong knowledge of SBC, LEED, Mostadam standards, and ISO 9001 quality management system.
• Familiarity with GOSI and Saudization compliance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture or Construction Management.
• LEED AP or Mostadam Assessor certification.
• Experience with mega-projects or government initiatives in Saudi Arabia.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling.
• Previous work with ARAMCO-approved or similar high-profile projects.

Working Conditions
