Job Responsibilities

• Uphold exemplary customer service standards consistently.
• Remove rubbish thoroughly, replenish toiletries such as soap and shower gel, and restock clean linen including towels.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors by vacuuming, sweeping, dust mopping, washing, stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing carpets.
• Clean windows, walls, chalkboards, and trash cans carefully.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and wooden elements.
• Collect and empty trash bins and pick up litter around the premises.
• Sanitize toilets and bathrooms, replace and clean shower curtains.
• Execute specialized custodial and maintenance tasks like floor refinishing and project cleaning when needed.
• Address guest questions and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Inspect electrical devices in public areas including lamps, hand dryers, telephones, mini-bars, TVs, air-conditioning units, and safes.
• Check other equipment such as door locks, blackout curtains, showers, hot and cold water systems, flushes, blinds, and curtains.
• Manage pantry supplies and trolleys efficiently.
• Comply with the hotel's dress code, appearance standards, and behavioral expectations.
• Monitor trainee progress and communicate updates to the Housekeeping trainer.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, avoiding unsafe practices like storing bleach in improper containers.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and materials such as sprayers.
• Report any health or safety risks and all accidents, no matter how minor.
• Immediately notify the Duty Manager of any suspicious activities or individuals.
• Manage the sign-in and sign-out process for keys and access cards.
• Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Educational background of middle or secondary school; further training or certification in related fields is advantageous.

Experience

• At least one year of experience within the hotel industry.
• Experience in luxury resorts is considered a strong plus.

Technical Skills & Attributes

• Good physical mobility and stamina are necessary.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Detail-conscious approach to tasks.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective time management skills.
• Fluency in English or another language.
