Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Technology and Data, you will be responsible for managing technology project deliveries across a complicated international framework involving multiple business units, technology platforms, delivery partners, and diverse stakeholders. The focus will be on structuring project delivery, enhancing visibility, and ensuring accountability across various initiatives. Given the distributed nature of teams and partners, success depends on your ability to coordinate and influence outcomes rather than relying on traditional internal delivery teams.

Initially, your efforts will concentrate on discovery, assessment, and stakeholder engagement. You will liaise with both local and international leaders to analyze existing projects, delivery frameworks, ownership, and reporting standards while identifying core business priorities. A key task will be consolidating dispersed project details, building trustful relationships, and developing a unified source of truth for delivery status, risks, dependencies, and timelines. Your capability to simplify complexity and provide clear insights is crucial in this phase.

Over time, the position will evolve into a pivotal delivery leadership role, supporting the organization's wider transformation strategy. You will oversee governance forums, steering committees, reporting structures, and delivery cadences while influencing initiatives in automation, AI, data, platform modernization, and worldwide technology alignment. This role plays a vital part in creating scalable project delivery frameworks to support future growth, acquisitions, and overseas expansion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee software, technology, and transformation projects across multiple internal, external, and offshore teams.
• Implement governance structures, reporting routines, and delivery standards within a complex project portfolio.
• Provide executive stakeholders with transparent project status, timelines, risk assessments, dependencies, and outcomes.
• Lead steering committees, project forums, delivery reviews, and stakeholder workshops.
• Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, analysts, architects, engineers, and vendors.
• Coordinate activities across globally distributed teams working in various time zones.
• Monitor milestones and ensure alignment of delivery with agreed objectives and timelines.
• Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks, issues, and scope changes proactively before impacting delivery.
• Support project prioritization, planning, and readiness within the technology function.
• Translate technical project activities into clear, business-focused updates for senior leadership.
• Drive stakeholder accountability and maintain strong, aligned working relationships.
• Contribute to the establishment of scalable project delivery practices that enable sustained organizational growth.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing technology and software projects in complex environments requiring coordination of multiple stakeholders, competing demands, and segregated delivery teams. Proven success is expected across project lifecycles from initiation through to delivery, with strong oversight of risks, timelines, dependencies, and business goals.

Essential experience includes managing projects involving offshore, outsourced, or geographically diverse technology teams, handling multi-time zone and multicultural challenges without relying on direct authority. Skills in vendor management, facilitation, and sustaining project momentum while keeping stakeholders informed are vital.

The ability to bring order to ambiguity with commercial insight, exceptional organization, and effective communication is critical. You will thrive in a lean, dynamic setting valuing ownership, initiative, and adaptability, while building governance and reporting frameworks that support scaling without excessive bureaucracy.
