About the Opportunity
We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Project Manager to join the Case Services team within Digital at Te Tāhū o te Ture - the Ministry of Justice. This permanent position based in Wellington involves leading dedicated project teams in an inclusive environment that values collaboration and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and inspiring a team of professionals to meet project objectives effectively.
- Overseeing project budgets, managing risks and issues, and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Serving as the project representative in governance and steering committee meetings.
- Providing accurate and timely reports to stakeholders on project progress.
- Managing release processes to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Establishing and nurturing strong collaborative relationships as a trusted leader within the organization.
Required Skills and Experience
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrable project management expertise within large, complex organizations.
- Proven ability to lead project teams delivering high-quality results on schedule and budget, particularly in Agile environments.
- Experience collaborating with service managers to drive effective business and digital transformations.
- Proven track record managing vendors to provide efficient and quality solutions.
- Strong skills in stakeholder relationship building, both internally and externally.
- Understanding of public sector digital project delivery is advantageous.
- Proficiency in governance reporting, business case development using Treasury's Better Business Case approach, and using MS365 tools including Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Teams, along with project management tools such as FMIS and PowaPlanner.

Salary and Application Details
