Project Manager – Building Construction

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in Building Construction to oversee construction projects from planning through completion. This role demands comprehensive knowledge of project management, construction methodologies, budgeting, procurement, and contract oversight to lead projects effectively and deliver successful results.

Key Responsibilities

• Devise detailed project plans covering timelines, resource allocation, budgeting, and procurement strategies.
• Oversee and coordinate all construction activities to guarantee timely delivery and adherence to quality and design specifications.
• Identify, assess, and manage contractors and subcontractors based on their qualifications, experience, cost efficiency, and quality of work.
• Monitor project progress rigorously by tracking KPIs and communicate status updates regularly to stakeholders.
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety guidelines, local building codes, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation such as contracts, permits, drawings, RFIs, change orders, and records.
• Lead regular project meetings to assess progress, address issues, and maintain alignment with project goals.
• Prepare and deliver detailed presentations regarding project milestones, budgets, risks, and overall performance.
• Implement and enforce stringent safety protocols for the well-being of all personnel on-site.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience specifically in Building Construction projects, with 15+ years preferred.
• Proven track record of managing comprehensive construction projects from initiation to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, procurement, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with local building regulations and occupational safety standards.
• Excellent skills in leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving.
• Strong command of English communication skills, both spoken and listening, is compulsory.
• Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and project management software.
