Role Overview

The Project Architect at BMC Helix plays a pivotal leadership role by analyzing business and technical requirements to devise solution architectures and program definitions tailored to customer needs. This senior position involves assessing client readiness, delivering best practice advice, and ensuring smooth engagement transitions while supporting customer success through expert guidance on implementation strategies, integration, and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Lead or collaborate with cross-functional teams at client locations to deliver required project outcomes and foster further business opportunities.
Develop and maintain comprehensive conversion project artifacts including architectures, test plans, and deployment strategies.
Establish clear expectations and measures of success with customers early in the sales cycle, maintaining alignment throughout.
Coordinate relationships with conversion programmers and facilitate communication across internal and external teams.
Manage the seamless handover from sales to delivery teams while reviewing and clarifying scopes of work.
Provide technical leadership to salvage projects at risk, collaborating with sales, support, and R&D departments.
Drive effective communication to ensure project stability and stakeholder awareness.
Enhance solution quality and efficiency to improve business margins and customer satisfaction.
Lead scoping meetings and prepare materials to evaluate conversion analysis and client requirements.
Innovate processes and code to support competitive replacement sales opportunities and conversion projects.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
Minimum 10 years of broad IT technical experience.
At least 7 years' expertise in BMC Remedy / Helix ITSM solutions.
Five or more years in deploying enterprise management software.
ITIL v3 Foundation certification.
Familiarity with various IT management technologies, including ITOM.
Proficient in supporting deployment and integration of BMC-based solutions with knowledge of advanced operating systems, databases, storage, and virtualization.
Proven leadership as engagement leader and technical lead on multiple projects spanning full life-cycles.
Experienced in rescuing projects considered at risk alongside sales and R&D teams.
