Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Production Planning Officer to join a prominent fit-out and manufacturing company in Riyadh, KSA. This role involves managing, coordinating, and overseeing production activities across various manufacturing sectors including joinery, metal works, interior fabrication, exhibitions, and activations. The primary objective is to ensure efficient factory performance, optimal resource use, and timely project completion.
Key Duties
- Create, revise, and oversee comprehensive production schedules using Primavera P6 tailored to project deadlines, factory workload, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Collaborate extensively with production, procurement, technical, warehouse, and logistics teams to guarantee seamless manufacturing processes.
- Monitor material supplies, workforce distribution, machinery use, and production capacity to prevent delays and bottlenecks.
- Supervise daily production activities across departments and compile weekly and monthly production planning updates.
- Coordinate fabrication needs, including shop drawings, cutting lists, and production data from technical teams.
- Assist in developing recovery plans and prioritize scheduling to address production delays.
- Track work-in-progress, factory output, target achievements, and delivery timelines through ERP and planning platforms.
- Detect risks that could affect manufacturing schedules and propose corrective measures.
- Take part in production meetings to ensure cross-departmental coordination.
- Maintain detailed planning documentation, forecasts, and performance reports.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in production planning specifically within manufacturing sectors.
- Proven background in factory manufacturing operations such as joinery, metal fabrication, fit-out manufacturing, exhibitions, or industrial fabrication.
- Deep familiarity with manufacturing workflows, production sequencing, factory operation, and capacity management.
- Mandatory expertise in using Primavera P6.
- Experience with ERP systems and production reporting software is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, coordination, and reporting capabilities.
