About the Role
CapEx Recruitment is collaborating with a manufacturing, wholesale, and distribution company located in North Dublin to recruit a Procurement Manager. The business is experiencing significant growth, offering substantial opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Purchasing and Supply Chain teams, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Formulate and execute purchasing and supply chain strategies that secure supply continuity, optimise supplier performance, manage inventory investment, working capital, and maintain excellent customer service.
- Manage demand planning and forecasting processes by leveraging historical data analysis, market insights, order management, sales forecasting, and collaboration with Sales and cross-functional teams across Ireland and the UK.
- Drive the ongoing implementation, optimisation, and adoption of the AGR demand planning and inventory management software to maximise digital planning benefits.
- Establish, lead, and integrate Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes to align demand, supply, procurement, operations, and finance, improving forecast accuracy and supply chain efficiency.
- Oversee purchasing functions including supplier scheduling, replenishment planning, purchase commitments, and inbound supply coordination to ensure availability while optimising costs and capital.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships by monitoring performance against KPIs such as delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness; identify opportunities for supplier development and risk mitigation.
- Develop strategies to enhance supply chain resilience through risk assessment, multi-sourcing, and proactive disruption management.
- Supervise inventory metrics including stock value, turnover, budget adherence, safety stock policies, and forecast accuracy; identify improvements to reduce excess inventory and increase cash flow.
- Lead initiatives to minimize slow-moving, obsolete, and excess stock through cross-department collaboration and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Warehouse, and Finance to optimise on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery, improve order fulfilment, maximise warehouse efficiency, and manage demand variability.
- Provide strategic oversight on SKU rationalisation, product lifecycle management, new product launches, and product discontinuations ensuring supply chain readiness and commercial viability.
- Measure and report key purchasing and supply chain KPIs, using data-driven insights to drive operational improvements.
- Advocate a culture of innovation and continuous enhancement, embracing digital technologies including AI-enabled planning tools to optimise supply chain performance.
Candidate Profile
- At least 5 years' experience in senior purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management roles within manufacturing, engineering, or distribution sectors.
- Proven expertise in strategic purchasing, supplier relationship management, inventory optimisation, demand planning, and supply chain performance oversight.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand forecasting, inventory control, and working capital optimisation.
- Proficiency with ERP platforms and advanced demand planning or inventory optimisation software.
- Excellent analytical and commercial acumen, capable of interpreting complex data to balance customer service, inventory investment, and business outcomes.
