About Logitech and the Role

We are currently hiring a Principal Industrial Designer for our Mouse Design Team based in Cork, Ireland. This senior position combines superior craftsmanship with strategic insight, requiring a visionary who is also hands-on. The role centers on designing ergonomic and visually striking mice, key products in our portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization and creation of innovative mouse designs that solve complex user challenges with elegance and functionality.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to steer long-term design strategies aligned with business and market trends.
- Oversee design projects from initial briefs to finalized production models, maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail.
- Provide mentorship to design team members, encouraging curiosity and excellence in craftsmanship.
- Establish strong partnerships with engineering, marketing, and business teams to enhance multidisciplinary collaboration and design impact.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in industrial design with a portfolio showcasing successful consumer hardware products.
- Advanced skills in sketching, visualization, physical prototyping, and thorough understanding of ergonomics and anthropometrics.
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Rhino, SolidWorks, Alias, Fusion, or Creo Parametric, including Class-A surfacing techniques.
- Proficiency in CMF (Colors, Materials, Finishes), manufacturing processes, and EVT/DVT/PVT development cycles to ensure design integrity.
- Ability to incorporate AI tools to accelerate ideation and visualization workflows while complementing traditional design skills.
- Strong communication abilities to craft and deliver compelling design narratives to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and motivated to lead projects through ambiguity to impactful results.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related discipline.
