Role Overview and Responsibilities

The school is seeking a qualified Physical and Health Education teacher proficient in the IB MYP curriculum to instruct students from Grades 6 to 10. The role involves delivering student-centred lessons, developing curricula, managing classrooms effectively, and assessing student progress. Candidates will also coach sports, organize extracurricular activities and sports events, and support student motivation and wellbeing.

Qualifications and Key Skills

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Sports Management, or a related discipline.
• Possession of B.P.Ed or M.P.Ed teaching qualifications is preferred.
• IB MYP Physical and Health Education teaching experience is an advantage.
• Proficient understanding of the IB MYP framework and its assessment standards.
• Ability to design inquiry-based, engaging lessons utilizing digital tools for planning and assessment.
• Competence in classroom management, student evaluation, and progress tracking.
• Experience with sports coaching, fitness training, and organizing related events.
• Good communication skills, teamwork, creativity in activity design, and organizational capabilities.
• Basic knowledge of health, nutrition, fitness, and overall wellness.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold either a B.Ed in Physical Education (with specializations such as Health, Fitness, or Wellness) or a B.P.Ed in any specialization.
