Overview
We are looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join the regional Property & Casualty (P&C) actuarial team based in Singapore. This position offers exposure to a wide range of portfolios spanning markets and lines such as Property, Technology, Marine, Casualty, and Financial Lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior actuaries by conducting in-depth portfolio reviews to recommend pricing or underwriting actions aimed at improving profitability.
- Assist in building and maintaining pricing models through preparation and validation of data used in predictive analytics including Generalized Linear Models (GLM) and machine learning methods.
- Perform pricing analysis for larger accounts with adequate claims history.
- Develop and implement monitoring systems to track performance metrics for strategic portfolios.
- Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the portfolio rate monitoring processes.
- Extract and manipulate data from both internal and external sources for analytical needs.
- Improve data quality and processing workflows to support the growth of P&C insurance portfolios.

Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years in an actuarial role within general insurance, with emphasis on pricing preferred.
- Experience with programming languages or actuarial software such as Python and Emblem is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with solid understanding of statistical and data analysis techniques.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and quick to learn and adjust to new challenges.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills necessary for coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders.
