Position Overview
We seek a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist skilled in managing payroll operations via Workday Payroll and ADP outsourced payroll services. This role involves handling payroll processing across multiple countries such as the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and various APAC locations. The candidate must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, possess hands-on payroll expertise, excel at collaborating with payroll vendors, and thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive payroll processing for designated countries or regions, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.
- Manage payroll inputs in Workday Payroll, including procedures for onboarding, terminations, salary adjustments, bonuses, allowances, deductions, and tax modifications.
- Liaise effectively with ADP outsourced payroll partners to submit data, validate payroll outputs, and guarantee timely payroll completion.
- Conduct thorough reviews of payroll previews, variance analyses, gross-to-net computations, and final payroll registers prior to authorization.
- Ensure all payroll inputs are precise, complete, and consistent with approved HR and Finance data.
- Handle off-cycle payrolls, retroactive payments, corrections, and final settlements as necessary.
- Collaborate with local payroll providers, HR, Finance, and other relevant parties to address and resolve payroll-related concerns.
- Stay informed and ensure compliance with country-specific statutory, tax, social security, pension, and employment regulations.
- Maintain awareness of deadlines, statutory reporting, and year-end payroll activities pertinent to each country.
Payroll Controls and Compliance
- Perform detailed payroll audits and reconciliations to maintain accuracy and regulatory adherence.
- Uphold internal control standards, company policies, approval processes, and audit requirements in all payroll functions.
- Document payroll processes thoroughly, including approvals and audit evidence for internal and external reviews.
- Support statutory filings, prepare year-end reports, tax documentation, and other compliance-related payroll responsibilities.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all employee payroll information at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a relevant field.
- 3 to 4 years hands-on experience with Workday Payroll, ADP Global Payroll, ADP Streamline, ADP Celergo, ADP Global View, or equivalent payroll systems.
- Understanding of payroll accounting principles, general ledger reporting, payroll funding, and reconciliation methods.
- Experience managing payroll year-end procedures, tax reporting, and compliance filings.
- Familiarity with HRIS, time and attendance, benefits, and compensation integrations related to payroll processing.
- Payroll certifications such as CPP, FPC, CIPP, PCP, or equivalents considered advantageous.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially in data analytics contexts.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
