Payroll and Data Migration Analyst - Contract

Role Overview

We are looking for a Payroll and Data Migration Analyst to play a vital role in a 12-month payroll data migration project linked to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) rollout. This position demands precise attention to detail and in-depth payroll knowledge relevant to the region, alongside practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Primary Responsibilities

• Facilitate the comprehensive migration of payroll data into Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
• Ensure legacy payroll data is cleansed, validated, and reconciled before migration.
• Collaborate closely with HR and Finance departments to accurately map payroll components such as earnings, deductions, and benefits.
• Participate in system configuration testing including parallel runs and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Identify and troubleshoot inconsistencies, errors, or data deficiencies during migration.
• Assist payroll processing through the transition phase to maintain ongoing operations.
• Ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of payroll results.
• Support reconciliation tasks between legacy and Dynamics 365 system outputs.
• Serve as a liaison among HR, Finance, and IT or implementation partners.
• Provide expert advice on payroll operations and regional statutory guidelines.
• Contribute to training and knowledge transfer for internal personnel post-implementation.
• Uphold compliance with UAE labor laws and internal company policies in payroll processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll data.
• Assist with audit processes linked to payroll data migration and system modifications.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3 to 5 years of solid experience in payroll and data migration, ideally within a UAE or regional MENA context.
• Proven background in payroll system implementation or data migration projects.
• Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, particularly Finance modules.
• Strong grasp of payroll components including salaries, allowances, commissions, end-of-service benefits, as well as impacts of leave and absence on payroll.
• Advanced skills in Excel for data verification, reconciliation, and analysis; experience with manual payroll or accounting systems is advantageous.
• In-depth understanding of UAE and regional payroll regulations and practices.
• Experience with payroll systems across GCC countries such as UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt preferred to ensure multi-country payroll alignment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and high-level accuracy.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
