Senior Operations Manager - Logistics and Supply Chain, Amazon

We are recruiting a Senior Operations Manager to oversee operations across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee processes from fulfillment centers through sortation hubs to last-mile delivery centers.
• Lead hiring, training, and development of a motivated workforce at sort hubs in partnership with HR and training teams to meet operational city requirements, maintaining Amazon's quality and productivity standards.
• Ensure adequate capacity in sites to handle peak time workloads efficiently.
• Collaborate with Finance, Delivery Stations, Fulfillment Centers, and Project teams on city operations-related matters.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide mentorship to team members to optimize operations.
• Drive continuous process improvements to maintain high performance, improve quality, reduce waste, and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Analyze data reports to identify bottlenecks and enhance operational performance.

Typical Day

• Lead important regional initiatives focusing on safety, employee engagement, network efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, weekly and monthly business reviews, and peak season readiness calls.
• Utilize data analytics for performance assessment and implement improvement frameworks like Kaizen.
• Develop and finalize labor plans that balance cost optimization with high standards of performance and employee experience.
• Coach Operations Managers to challenge existing methods, fostering a culture of waste reduction and continuous improvement by collaborating with central program teams and benchmarking practices across sites.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of four years’ experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification; alternatively, at least two years of comparable experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguous environments.
• Customer service orientation with ownership mentality and ability to set achievable goals and timelines.
