Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead the floor at our ISO 22000-certified multi-temperature food facility in Dubai. This key position involves ensuring outstanding service quality, order accuracy, and rigorous food safety compliance as we enter peak season and establish our new production site.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily inbound, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations across multiple channels including hospitality, retail, eCommerce, and wholesale.
- Maintain exceptional service standards by monitoring fill rates, on-time fulfillment, and order correctness, even during high-volume periods.
- Implement stringent cold-chain management and food safety procedures across frozen, chilled, and ambient storage, upholding ISO 22000 and HACCP standards, with detailed monitoring such as temperature logging and allergen controls.
- Manage inventory through cycle counts, stock reconciliation, applying FIFO/FEFO rotation methods, and controlling near-expiry stock to minimize losses.
- Lead and develop a diverse operations team of over 20 staff members, including supervisors, controllers, pickers, packers, and forklift operators. Responsible for staffing schedules, overtime management, and labor cost optimization.
- Use operational data and KPIs such as cost per order, picking rates, and dock-to-stock times actively to identify issues and promote continuous improvements, not merely for reporting.
Applicant Profile
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing warehouse operations, preferably within Food & Beverage or FMCG sectors.
- A proactive leader who enjoys direct, floor-level engagement and hands-on supervision rather than office-based management.
- Solid technical expertise with Warehouse Management Systems, inventory control software, and extensive experience handling multi-temperature or cold-chain food safety protocols aligned with ISO 22000/HACCP.
- Demonstrated leadership skills managing and motivating a sizable operational workforce effectively.
- Strong analytical capabilities with comfort in leveraging operational metrics and data-driven problem solving.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools is highly desirable, as the company integrates AI assistants in daily workflows.
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
