Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position in Umm Lujj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia for a Motor Grader Operator. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating a motor grader to shape, level, and maintain roads, embankments, and other surfaces in line with engineering requirements. The role requires safe machine handling across different terrain conditions, routine pre-use checks, simple preventive maintenance, and timely reporting of any equipment concerns to the maintenance team.

Key Duties

• Run and control the motor grader to complete grading, leveling, and surface maintenance work.
• Inspect the machine before operation and carry out basic preventive checks.
• Identify and report mechanical problems to the maintenance team as soon as they are noticed.
• Adjust blade angle and cutting depth according to the required surface finish and specifications.
• Operate the equipment safely on varied site conditions and terrain types.
• Work closely with site supervisors, surveyors, and other equipment operators to complete tasks efficiently.
• Follow all site safety rules, traffic controls, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain accurate logs of work completed, operating hours, and equipment use.

Required Background

Candidates should have hands-on experience operating a motor grader or comparable heavy machinery on construction or roadwork projects. A solid understanding of grading methods, slopes, road camber, and basic site drawings or grade stakes is important. The role also calls for familiarity with equipment safety procedures, pre-start inspections, and routine mechanical awareness.

• Ability to work outdoors in hot, dusty, and uneven environments while following safety standards.
• Good communication skills for coordination with supervisors, surveyors, and equipment teams.
• Capable of following instructions, meeting deadlines, and adjusting to changing site priorities.
• Valid heavy equipment operating license or certification, as required by local regulations.
• Experience in road construction, infrastructure, or earthworks projects in Umm Lujj or similar settings will be an added advantage.
• Strong punctuality, reliability, and respect for an inclusive workplace are expected.
