Data Analyst

Role Overview

Advance Delivery Consulting is looking to hire five Data Analysts for onsite roles across VIC, TAS, and SA. The position focuses on turning raw data into clear business insight, supporting migration work, and helping teams understand reporting needs and data quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Use SQL to examine, profile, and understand datasets.
• Study data in detail and translate findings into clear presentations for business and leadership teams.
• Contribute to ETL build activities and data migration assignments.
• Interpret both the business meaning and reporting implications of the data.
• Share datasets and insights with business users and data consumers, identifying gaps, issues, and source-data concerns.
• Spot patterns, trends, and anomalies within datasets.
• Collaborate with business teams, solution teams, and technical teams to clarify requirements and define business needs.
• Prepare and maintain data mapping rules for migration work.

Experience and Technical Background

The role calls for 5 to 7 years of experience in data analysis and development. A strong consulting mindset is important, along with hands-on capability in SSIS, SSRS, SQL, data profiling, analysis, deduplication, and cleansing. The ideal candidate should also bring strong problem-solving ability, with the confidence to assess information critically, resolve conflicts, anticipate risks, and make prioritization decisions.

Stakeholder and Communication Requirements

This position is best suited to someone who has worked in a client-facing environment and can build trust with stakeholders through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence others.
