About the position
As a Medication Rebate Analyst, you will contribute financial insights that improve the management of high-cost medications. You will work with teams across analytics, contracting, technology, and health plan clients to study complex medical and pharmacy claims data and assess the financial effects of medication rebate contracts.
This position supports accurate rebate administration, stronger contract performance, and better decision-making across rebate programs. It also offers the chance to work on difficult health care problems while learning from experienced industry professionals.
Key responsibilities
You will collaborate with Evio clients and internal partners to support the full medical medication rebate portfolio, monitor financial performance, and help ensure rebate data is accurate and actionable.
- Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to evaluate financial results across the medical medication rebate portfolio.
- Use Evio’s rebate administration platform to review claims data, investigate invoicing differences, and help maintain accuracy across more than $500 million in annual rebates.
- Create, update, and improve analytics that explain contract performance for medication rebates.
- Support new analytics and technology initiatives that improve the evaluation of rebate programs.
- Recommend process improvements and data-driven solutions to increase efficiency and strengthen operations.
- Help ingest, clean, and standardize key medical medication rebate data files received from Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans.
- Work independently and manage multiple priorities when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 5 years of experience as a rebate data analyst in a pharmacy benefit manager, health plan, or similar health care organization.
- Hands-on experience with medical medication claims data and rebate analysis.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and SQL, or comparable analytics and data modeling tools.
- Experience working with large, complex databases and automation workflows.
- Familiarity with Medispan or First Databank reference systems.
- Working understanding of medical coding systems such as HCPCS and CPT, and how to apply them in analytics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and careful attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new concepts and technologies.
- Collaborative mindset and comfort using data to guide decisions.
Compensation
The anticipated annual base salary for this role is $95,000 to $115,000, plus additional variable compensation. Final compensation may vary based on seniority, location, date of hire, experience, and business needs.
