We are looking to strengthen our team at the Stuttgart location immediately with a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/w/d). Responsibilities
- Develop innovative concepts and design solutions for devices, systems, equipment, and mechanical/mechatronic assemblies from initial idea to completed 3D-CAD model.
- Perform detailed design work, conduct strength calculations, and devise cooling and ventilation concepts for electronic components and systems.
- Create conforming technical drawings following ISO GPS standards and manage product data (PDM), document upkeep, change control, and configuration management.
- Support the development of prototypes and series products throughout the manufacturing process, assisting in qualification, type, and acceptance testing.
- Manage technical work packages including effort estimations, schedule monitoring, and contribute to manufacturing cost calculations.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace engineering, or comparable technical qualification.
- Experience in mechanical design and development using modern 3D-CAD systems, with knowledge of ISO GPS tolerancing.
- Knowledge of thermal processes and electronic assembly cooling is advantageous.
- Experience with strength design of mechanical structures and design of statically and dynamically loaded components is a plus.
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering is beneficial.
- Fluent written and spoken German and English essential for internal and external communication.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary ranges between 75,000 and 85,000 euros, based on relevant experience, with a 40-hour work week.
