Job Overview
We are seeking a Master Data Management (MDM) Lead to oversee and manage all aspects of MDM as a Service Owner. The role involves aligning MDM initiatives with business goals, supporting the design and delivery of MDM solutions, and ensuring data integrity and consistency across the enterprise to aid in business decisions, operations, risk management, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, support, and rollout of MDM applications customized to business requirements.
- Establish and enforce standards, guidelines, and conduct code reviews to maintain uniform MDM practices organization-wide.
- Document MDM procedures and processes in accordance with corporate governance.
- Provide frequent status updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Utilize tracking tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA to monitor activities and project progress.
- Ensure adherence to MDM, group, and organizational policies and governance frameworks.
- Operate within ITIL processes including incident, change, and problem management.
- Support internal and external audits by supplying required documentation and evidence.
- Guide and mentor team members, promoting collaboration and knowledge transfer.
- Make authorized decisions based on the organization's approval matrix.
Experience & Technical Skills
- Minimum of 15 years of experience specializing in Master Data Management, ideally within the banking sector.
- In-depth knowledge of strategy formulation and architecture design for MDM systems.
- Expertise in Oracle Customer Hub, Oracle Enterprise Data Quality, Siebel UCM (including configuration, upgrades, integration, and administration), and Oracle Data Integrator.
- Proficient with data cleansing, standardization, clustering, matching, de-duplication, and reference data management techniques.
- Skilled in developing Data Steward interfaces, managing merge and unmerge operations, and automating suspect queue resolutions.
- Strong understanding of core MDM features such as cross-referencing, survivorship, source data history, and publish/subscribe mechanisms.
- Experience with web services, scripting languages such as JavaScript, integration methods, performance optimization, and debugging.
- Capability to define and enforce data quality rules, perform root cause analysis, and drive initiatives aimed at enhancing data quality.
Additional Information
This role reports directly into the broader data management group and involves significant influence over data governance across the organization. The position requires familiarity with tools for issue tracking and governance frameworks as well as compliance with ITIL standards. The candidate will be expected to support audits and foster a collaborative team environment.
