Position Overview
The Manager, Business Solutions plays a vital role within the Los Angeles Lakers' Global Partnerships division, focused on crafting proposals that support both partner acquisition and the growth of existing partnerships. This individual excels in developing insightful and persuasive narratives grounded in data and cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring alignment prior to external presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create data-driven proposals, platform concepts, case studies, and recap templates that effectively communicate the Lakers brand's value and meet partnership KPIs.
- Utilize internal and external data sources to support Partnership Sales and Activation teams in implementing and maintaining data-centric strategies that highlight the Lakers' unique sponsorship advantages.
- Conduct thorough research on potential partners, industry trends, competitive landscapes, consumer behaviors, and sponsorship developments to identify new revenue streams.
- Facilitate and engage in cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Marketing, Community, and Social teams to develop compelling and executable partner concepts consistent with organizational standards.
- Present integrated sponsorship proposals to internal stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
- Partner with the internal creative team to uphold brand integrity and enhance visual storytelling in partnership materials.
- Manage CRM platforms like Salesforce and KORE for inventory insights, tracking, and partner data management.
- Support sponsorship evaluations by analyzing market benchmarks, media exposure, fan engagement metrics, inventory performance, and historical partner outcomes.
- Generate competitive intelligence reports, league benchmarking data, and category-specific insights to guide strategic business decisions.
- Stay current on NBA and broader sports market trends to identify prospects for new sales and outreach opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, or a related discipline.
- At least four years of full-time experience in areas such as partnership strategy, integrated marketing, business development, sponsorship sales, or activation; experience within sports teams or agencies is preferred.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, KORE), Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Tableau is essential.

Additional Information
- Physical demands include lifting up to 25 pounds and extensive walking during game days at the arena.
- Work locations encompass the El Segundo offices (Monday to Friday), downtown Los Angeles at Crypto.com Area during select Lakers home games, and off-site client meetings.
- Travel requirements amount to approximately 5% of the time, covering league meetings, conferences, and preseason games.
- Work hours follow standard office schedules Monday through Friday, with additional nights and weekends required for game and client events.
- Compensation range is $72,500 to $82,500 per year, determined by candidate expertise, experience, certifications, and internal pay equity considerations.
