About the Role

Fulton Hogan is a leading privately owned civil engineering and infrastructure company in New Zealand, delivering quality projects that enhance communities nationwide. With a solid project pipeline and the recent acquisition of a quarry in Napier, the Hawke's Bay team is expanding.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of three, reporting to the Finance Manager, handling transactional, reporting, and strategic accounting duties.
- Manage month-end closing processes, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
- Act as a business partner to operational managers by interpreting financial data and supporting commercial decision making.
- Support quarry operations through production planning, demand forecasting, inventory control, and routine accounting functions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Certification as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) preferred, or a relevant tertiary qualification with motivation to complete CA studies.
- Experience or strong interest in civil contracting or infrastructure industries is advantageous.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with operational teams and communicate complex financial information effectively.
- Experience in a CA firm or in a similar accounting role, with readiness to lead a small team.
