Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team, primarily supporting manufacturing operations at the expanding Hallam facility in Victoria, with initial training at the Boronia site. This position is critical to maintaining the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our production machinery, equipment, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on plant machinery and infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues effectively.
- Reduce production interruptions by quick diagnosis and troubleshooting of equipment faults.
- Assist in the setup, installation, relocation, and commissioning of equipment.
- Support the operational development of the Hallam manufacturing site.
- Ensure all maintenance complies with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Keep detailed maintenance logs, service documentation, and work orders up to date.
Qualifications and Experience
- Trade certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields.
- Experience with equipment installation, site setup, and commissioning processes.
- Practical knowledge or implementation experience of 5S workplace organization methodology.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Background in maintenance roles within manufacturing, production, or industrial settings.
- Strong skills in mechanical and electrical problem-solving and diagnostics.
- Experience maintaining plant machinery and facility infrastructure.
- Capability to work autonomously and handle multiple site priorities effectively.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain a forklift license.
