Maintenance Engineer

Role overview

This part-time Maintenance Engineer position is based in Dubai and includes a hybrid working arrangement, with some work-from-home flexibility depending on operational requirements. The role focuses on keeping equipment and systems running safely and efficiently through planned and corrective maintenance.

What you will do

• Carry out routine and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and related systems.
• Identify technical faults and put appropriate repair measures in place.
• Perform inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Work closely with facility and operations teams to support day-to-day upkeep.
• Record maintenance work, findings, and reports accurately.
• Coordinate with external vendors when specialist support is required.
• Follow all safety guidelines and compliance requirements during maintenance work.
• Suggest practical improvements to maintenance methods and equipment performance.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and repair tasks.
• Working knowledge of maintenance engineering practices and reliability-focused planning.
• Ability to organize and carry out preventive maintenance activities.
• Capability to inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, and control components safely.
• A technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field is preferred.
• Experience in facility or industrial maintenance in the UAE or GCC region will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, careful attention to detail, and awareness of safety standards.
• Comfortable working independently, managing part-time hours, and communicating with different teams.
