Role Overview
The Maintenance Assistant position is a full-time role located onsite in Doha, Qatar. The incumbent will support daily maintenance operations for buildings and machinery by conducting routine inspections, aiding with minor repairs, and escalating issues to senior maintenance personnel. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring all work areas remain safe and well-organized, and assisting in maintaining accurate maintenance logs and records. The role requires close collaboration with supervisors and team members, adherence to safety protocols, and prompt response to maintenance requests.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance and preventive upkeep to ensure machinery and tools function reliably.
- Competence in building maintenance and general repair tasks to assist with facility care and routine inspections.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively coordinate with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders, as well as to accurately document maintenance activities.
- Basic understanding of safety standards, commonly used tools, and materials relevant to building and equipment maintenance.
- Capability to follow detailed instructions, work collaboratively in team settings, and manage time efficiently.
- Previous experience in facility management, construction, or property maintenance is considered an asset.
- Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related fields is advantageous.
