About the Role
West Fraser's Williams Lake Lumber Division is seeking a diligent Lumber Shipper to join their team. The role demands strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities, alongside the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a dynamic environment. This position reports directly to the Controller.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipments of lumber via rail and trucks in collaboration with the Sales Department and Lumber Supervisor.
- Compile, enter, and report daily production data for the site at the corporate level.
- Input weekly forecasting details into the shipping software system.
- Reconcile shipment records daily with sales and the perpetual inventory system.
- Prepare necessary shipping documentation, such as waybills and shipment reports.
- Carry out month-end inventory adjustments and generate relevant reports.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and adapt to changing conditions.
- Between two and four years of experience in administrative and shipping roles.
- Meticulous attention to detail with high accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with JD Edwards or Oracle EBS is advantageous.
- Prior experience in the lumber industry is preferred.

- Competitive base salary ranging from $57,500 to $68,000 annually, influenced by education and relevant experience, with eligibility for an annual bonus.
