Job Overview

The Loader will be responsible for unloading chop from bulk bins into trucks at the mill chop loading site, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and verify loading sheets to record and confirm the loading process.
• Direct trucks to position correctly beneath bins for unloading.
• Use tools to clear blockages in bins when necessary.
• Keep an eye on truck capacity to meet specified fullness standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the working area.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Follow all safety guidelines and requirements diligently.
• Perform bin dip checks.
• Clean the mill and surrounding chop bin areas regularly.
• Assist with plant maintenance duties as required.
• Having a forklift license is considered a beneficial asset.

Qualifications

• Understanding and practice of health and safety standards.
• At minimum, National Qualifications Framework level 4 (NQF 4), Grade 12 certificate, or an equivalent qualification. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) aligned with SETA accreditation is applicable.
• Experience of at least six months in a related environment is preferred.
• Basic computer skills will be an added advantage.
