Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position based at Al Manzil Hotel in Manama involves ensuring the safety of guests around the pool area. The Lifeguard will supervise swimmers of all skill levels, enforce pool regulations, respond promptly to emergencies, and maintain rescue equipment in optimal condition. Regular responsibilities include monitoring water quality, cleanliness, and safety signage, reporting maintenance concerns, and collaborating with hotel staff to maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Providing courteous guest assistance and clear communication is essential.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient swimming skills and strong water safety knowledge with confident pool supervision ability.
- Certified training in lifeguard duties, CPR, first aid, and rescue equipment usage.
- Keen observation, situational awareness, and ability to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service capabilities to engage with guests and coordinate internally.
- Physical stamina and fitness for long durations of standing, swimming, and executing rescue operations.
- Previous experience in lifeguarding or pool supervision within hospitality or recreational environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of pool hygiene, safety protocols, water quality monitoring, and incident documentation is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, while adhering to hotel safety policies.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are considered a plus.
