Role Overview

This role involves executing land and engineering surveys crucial for bridge maintenance, rehabilitation, and development efforts. The surveyor will carry out site measurements and set-out procedures adhering strictly to approved project plans and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Executing land and engineering surveys specific to bridge upkeep and infrastructure projects.
• Conducting field surveys, precise measurements, and alignment tasks as per approved drawings and contractual specifications.
• Establishing and maintaining survey control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates essential for project tasks.
• Performing topographical surveys, checking alignments, level surveys, and as-built measurements for bridges and related structures.
• Compiling detailed survey reports, generating drawings, and ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping.
• Collaborating closely with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and construction teams to confirm survey accuracy and seamless work execution.
• Validating site dimensions, elevations, and placements of structural components prior to and during construction.
• Operating and maintaining surveying tools including Total Stations, GPS devices, Auto Levels, and others.
• Ensuring survey operations fully comply with project specifications, quality management protocols, and safety standards.
• Contributing to the preparation of as-built plans and final documentation post-project completion.
• Identifying and reporting any deviations or inconsistencies between on-site conditions and the approved work drawings.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years’ experience as a Land Surveyor focused on bridge construction, maintenance, or civil engineering infrastructure within the UAE.
• Demonstrated expertise in setting out and surveying for bridges, roads, and other infrastructural projects.
• Solid understanding of surveying techniques, calculation methods, and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Prior experience working on infrastructure initiatives in Abu Dhabi is advantageous.
• Holder of a valid UAE Driving License and personal vehicle ownership are mandatory requirements.

Additional Information

• Skilled in the use of Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and other survey instruments.
• Competent with AutoCAD and software for processing survey data.
• Capability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good grasp of bridge and civil engineering construction processes.
• Strong attention to precision and detail in measurements.
• Effective communicator with collaboration skills suitable for site teams.
• Ability to independently manage and ensure the quality of survey activities.
• Familiarity with UAE project standards and regulatory requirements.
