Overview
This role is a practical, hands-on opportunity for someone who is eager to learn a skilled trade while supporting restoration and construction work. As a Labourer, you will help keep projects progressing, work alongside seasoned crew members, use tools and equipment, and contribute to maintaining job sites that are clean, orderly, and safe. The position offers exposure to multiple service lines and the chance to develop your skills within a supportive team.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will be actively involved in site work that helps restore damaged spaces and move projects forward. Your day may include loading the truck, travelling to job sites, clearing debris, setting up equipment, assisting with demolition, and supporting cleanup work after restoration projects. You’ll learn directly from experienced coworkers, become more confident with trade tools, and take pride in leaving each site in better condition than when you arrived.
Qualifications
- Working familiarity with common tools, materials, and basic construction or cleaning methods
- Strong willingness to learn and a dependable work ethic
- Comfort using mobile devices and related apps
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Valid unrestricted class 5 driver’s licence and a clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to complete fit testing and other required safety certifications
- Availability for a rotating on-call schedule
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as material handling, lifting, climbing, and wearing required PPE, including respirators and safety footwear
