Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Accounts Receivable (AR) Disputes Specialist fluent in Danish to join our finance team. This role primarily involves investigating and resolving customer disputes and deductions to enhance revenue recovery and improve operational processes. You will serve as a critical link between customers and internal departments, requiring strong analytical skills and effective communication in both English and Danish.

Key Duties

  • Manage an allocated set of customer deduction cases including issues like short payments, pricing inconsistencies, shipping errors, and compliance fees.
  • Perform comprehensive root cause analysis by collecting and examining data from ERP systems, customer portals, delivery proofs, and other relevant documentation.
  • Communicate confidently with customers and internal teams such as Sales, Customer Service, and Business & Compliance Process Teams through phone and email to acquire information, dispute invalid claims, and negotiate settlements.
  • Carefully document all evidence related to disputes to support credit approvals or collections on disallowed deductions.
  • Execute approved credit memos accurately or coordinate with Collections to recover funds for invalid deductions.
  • Analyze and report on dispute patterns to management to identify causes and recommend preventive actions.
  • Contribute actively to continuous process improvements aimed at minimizing recurring disputes and optimizing resolution workflows.

Candidate Profile

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in Finance Customer Service; prior work in Accounts Receivable, disputes, deduction handling, or financial analysis is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities capable of explaining complex matters clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude, including detailed root cause investigation skills.
  • Experience working with major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is preferred; advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in English at a B2 level and Danish at a B1 level to support international clients effectively.
