IT Manager

Role Overview

The IT Manager plays a critical role in the organization by overseeing the planning, execution, and maintenance of IT infrastructure to ensure robust, secure, and smoothly functioning technological operations. This position involves managing IT support services, network systems, cybersecurity measures, software compliance, asset tracking, vendor relationships, and driving IT projects that align with business goals.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain all IT hardware including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, networking equipment, and storage solutions to maximize uptime and system reliability.
• Handle comprehensive network administration tasks such as monitoring LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, internet connections, and firewall security, along with configuration and troubleshooting of network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Lead end-user support activities ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues related to hardware, software, email, printers, conferencing tools, and business applications while developing support documentation and procedures.
• Enforce cybersecurity best practices, manage antivirus and endpoint security solutions, firewall policy implementation, data backup protocols, and conduct regular vulnerability assessments along with security training for staff.
• Administer Windows Server environments and Active Directory management; oversee server health, storage capacity, backups, and disaster recovery preparations.
• Maintain up-to-date inventory of IT assets, oversee procurement and allocation, monitor warranties and repairs, and manage software licensing and renewals.
• Coordinate with various technology vendors including hardware, software, ISP providers; evaluate their services, negotiate contracts and manage annual maintenance agreements.
• Develop and enforce IT-related policies, standard operating procedures, and security protocols ensuring company and client compliance, supporting audit processes as required.
• Direct IT infrastructure upgrade projects, facilitate implementation of new software and technology solutions, and provide support for ERP, HRMS, and other business applications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations management including 3 to 5 years leading IT teams.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Windows Server Administration and Active Directory with Group Policy management.
• Sound knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience in firewall administration, LAN/WAN management, and VPN configuration.
• Skills in Microsoft 365 administration, hardware and desktop support, backup and recovery solutions, and virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.
• Antivirus and endpoint security management, software license and asset management, vendor coordination, and basic database administration abilities.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP/MCSA)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• ITIL Foundation Certification

Compensation

The annual salary range offered for this position is between 1,300,000 and 2,000,000 INR.
