Cyber Security Analyst - Information Technology (Scoot)

Job Overview

Join the Group Information Security Team at Singapore Airlines, assigned to Scoot, where you will spearhead and maintain enterprise security tools and solutions while supporting the cybersecurity framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for security technologies managed by the Information Security Team.
• Maximize the effectiveness of security systems and tools.
• Recommend and champion cybersecurity measures to enhance company-wide protection.
• Lead the preparation of RFQs, establish evaluation benchmarks, and conduct product proof of concept tests during vendor assessments.
• Provide expert guidance, consultancy, and training in cybersecurity topics.
• Identify potential cyber risks within the IT infrastructure and propose mitigation strategies.
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats and vulnerabilities related to new platforms in the SIA Group and suggest appropriate controls.
• Operate independently to complete assigned tasks and manage priorities without extensive supervision.
• Support audit efforts in collaboration with internal and external auditors, contributing to compliance with ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and Cyber Security Maturity assessments.
• Undertake additional relevant responsibilities and manage deadlines for individual projects.
• Communicate effectively across teams and coordinate the deployment of cybersecurity initiatives within Scoot.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• 4 to 6 years of experience focused on information security, particularly cybersecurity.
• Certification in recognized security qualifications such as CISSP, GPEN, OSCP, CEH, CISA, CRISC, or CISM is preferred.
• Familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practices.
• Knowledge of standards and regulations like ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, PDPA, and GDPR.
• Proven expertise in security technology, architectural design, testing tools, and processes concerning application, network, and systems security.
• Understanding of cyber threat landscapes, vulnerability exploitation, and hacking techniques.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, coupled with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• A proactive, driven attitude with the motivation to resolve urgent, high-priority security issues.
• Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
