IAM Specialist

Overview

We are seeking an experienced IAM Specialist to assist with the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of enterprise Identity and Access Management systems. This role emphasizes managing identity lifecycles, integrating applications, enforcing access governance, and resolving identity-related challenges. The candidate will collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to maintain secure and efficient identity controls across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, sustain, and provide support for enterprise IAM platforms and identity workflows.
• Manage identity lifecycle processes including onboarding (Joiner), role changes (Mover), and offboarding (Leaver) activities.
• Create, customize, and uphold IAM connectors and integrations with various enterprise applications.
• Set up roles, access permissions, approval procedures, access policies, and certification workflows.
• Support implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and access governance mechanisms.
• Diagnose and resolve IAM-related workflow issues, integration errors, and access incidents.
• Assist in conducting user access reviews, compliance validations, and audit processes.
• Maintain and update technical documentation including configuration settings, operational workflows, and standard procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and IAM platform enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 to 6 years of comprehensive hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management.
• Proficiency with enterprise IAM platforms such as SailPoint, IBM IAM, Imprivata IAM, or analogous solutions.
• Practical experience developing IAM connectors, integrating applications, and configuring workflows.
• Strong grasp of identity governance frameworks, access control, and identity lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of directory services and protocols including Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and federation concepts.
• Experience in troubleshooting IAM workflows, provisioning access, and implementing security controls.
• Programming skills in Java, C++, or similar languages.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs along with IAM Software Development Kits (SDKs).
• Familiarity with cloud identity platforms and SaaS application integrations.
• Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) workflows and incident management processes.
• Background in supporting access certification and conducting audit engagements.
• Strong analytical ability, problem-solving aptitude, and precise documentation capabilities.
