Role Overview

The HSE Engineer will be based full-time onsite in Jeddah, overseeing the health, safety, and environmental protocols specifically for wastewater and tunneling projects. Responsibilities include conducting thorough site audits and risk evaluations, ensuring adherence to legal and organizational safety standards, and generating safety reports. The engineer will lead safety meetings and trainings, investigate incidents and unsafe occurrences, and collaborate closely with project teams and external stakeholders to maintain and enhance safety culture and performance.

Qualifications and Skills

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in safety management, preferably within tunneling operations.
• Professional certification in HSE such as NEBOSH or IOSH is mandatory.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
• Knowledge of issuing and reviewing various work permits.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation capabilities coupled with effective communication skills.
• Ability to perform frequent on-site visits and engage effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
