Job description
Position Summary
This role requires delivering efficient and professional housekeeping services through responding to guest requests, managing laundry and uniform stocks, maintaining linen and pantry supplies, and supporting various housekeeping tasks while adhering to established quality and procedural standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement cost-saving practices and promote recycling among staff.
- Communicate effectively with the Housekeeping Supervisor concerning issues and improvement suggestions.
- Participate actively in housekeeping team meetings.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest service needs and requests.
- Record daily guest loan items and runner job lists accurately.
- Ensure stocking of linens and pantry items is maintained consistently.
- Handle guest laundry pick-up and delivery efficiently.
- Manage uniform inventory including counting before and after laundry processes.
- Complete all assigned housekeeping duties as required.
- Follow occupational health and safety policies rigorously, recognizing and reporting hazards.
- Be conversant with safety protocols including first aid, fire, and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely.
- Log and report security incidents and accidents per hotel guidelines.
- Execute special projects and related duties as assigned.
Accountability
Working under the Housekeeping Manager’s guidance and in alignment with InterContinental Hotels Group policies, this position is accountable for maintaining cleanliness of public areas and fostering a positive work culture based on company values.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Administration, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping or related field.
- At least one year of experience in guest or customer service or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication skills, including ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and third parties.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English.
