About the Role
Our stores bustle with energy, ensuring no two days resemble each other, all while focusing on delivering high-quality food and exceptional value to the local community. As a Home Delivery Driver at Sainsbury's, you will be a vital team member responsible for delivering online customer orders reliably and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver groceries timely and in excellent condition to customer doorsteps.
- Conduct thorough checks to keep the van clean, organized, and roadworthy, securing delivery containers before departures.
- Provide excellent customer service, address questions, manage substitutions, and communicate any delays promptly.
- Develop product knowledge to offer informed recommendations about services and promotions.
- Assist with store duties during periods when not delivering.
Candidate Requirements and Eligibility
- Applicants must be over 18 years old and hold a full UK or EU driving license for at least one year with no more than six penalty points.
- Right to work in the UK is mandatory.
- Candidates will undergo an online driving risk assessment during the interview process and a practical driving assessment upon joining.

- Capable of lifting and moving shopping containers weighing up to 15 kilograms.
