Role Overview

This leadership role centers on transforming a growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) business by establishing an efficient and scalable supply chain operation. The Head of Supply Chain & Operations will take comprehensive ownership of global supply chain strategy, covering demand forecasting, procurement, logistics, and supplier relationship management. The position demands designing systems that boost operational efficiency, cut costs, and support sustainable growth while enabling the business to scale confidently. Collaboration with executive leadership is crucial to solving complex operational challenges and implementing robust, scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full supply chain cycle including demand forecasting, inventory planning, procurement, logistics, and monitoring operational metrics.
• Create and deploy scalable supply chain systems that enhance efficiency, reliability, and transparency as the company expands.
• Manage relationships with international suppliers and manufacturers to ensure high-quality standards and smooth operational execution.
• Supervise freight forwarding, customs compliance, import logistics, and global shipment coordination.
• Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships, improving delivery metrics, cost structures, and customer satisfaction.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, payment terms, and partnership agreements to optimize expenses and fortify business ties.
• Administer ERP systems and implement precise reporting across inventory management, procurement, and supply chain data.
• Establish operational frameworks that support growth while minimizing dependency on daily leadership involvement.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing supply chain operations at scale in DTC, eCommerce, consumer goods, or rapidly expanding brands.
• Extensive expertise in international logistics, procurement, inventory control, and supplier negotiation.
• Proven track record working with global manufacturing partners, especially suppliers based in China.
• Hands-on experience with 3PL operations, ERP platforms, forecasting tools, and analytical reporting.
• Capability to build effective processes, systems, and teams aligned with growth objectives.
• Strong leadership qualities with a history of independently resolving intricate operational issues.
• Fluent in English, with German language skills being advantageous.
• Analytically minded, with solid decision-making abilities under pressure supported by data-driven insights.
