Position Context
This position is part of the Transmission and Distribution Practice within the Energy and Industrial Team, based at our Tauranga office.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop proficiency in transmission line design tools including PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Tower software.
- Acquire knowledge of relevant engineering standards such as ASNZS7000 applicable to transmission design.
- Participate in diverse renewable energy initiatives such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar, and wind farm projects across New Zealand.
- Take ownership of your career progression through workshops and self-directed learning.
- Apply your engineering expertise and analytical skills to active client projects.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams encompassing engineering, advisory, and design disciplines.
- Work towards professional accreditation and chartership status.
Candidate Profile
- Possession or near completion of a Washington Accord accredited degree in Electrical, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Graduates available to commence full-time employment in early February 2027.
- Curious with a strong drive to address and solve practical engineering challenges.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Ambitious to enhance both technical expertise and consulting competencies.
