Position Context

This position is part of the Transmission and Distribution Practice within the Energy and Industrial Team, based at our Tauranga office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop proficiency in transmission line design tools including PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Tower software.
  • Acquire knowledge of relevant engineering standards such as ASNZS7000 applicable to transmission design.
  • Participate in diverse renewable energy initiatives such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar, and wind farm projects across New Zealand.
  • Take ownership of your career progression through workshops and self-directed learning.
  • Apply your engineering expertise and analytical skills to active client projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams encompassing engineering, advisory, and design disciplines.
  • Work towards professional accreditation and chartership status.

Candidate Profile

  • Possession or near completion of a Washington Accord accredited degree in Electrical, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Graduates available to commence full-time employment in early February 2027.
  • Curious with a strong drive to address and solve practical engineering challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
  • Ambitious to enhance both technical expertise and consulting competencies.
