Role Overview and Key Responsibilities
- Engage in a structured, on-the-job training program spanning multiple departments according to the development plan.
- Assist in supporting departmental projects, daily operations, and activities.
- Perform research, data analysis, and generate reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with senior personnel and cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes.
- Adhere strictly to safety, environmental, and corporate policies when carrying out assigned duties.
- Participate actively in continuous learning through mentorship and formal training sessions.
- Contribute innovative ideas aimed at enhancing business workflows and efficiency.
Operational Requirements
- Familiarity with mining legislation, standard operating procedures, and operational workflows.
- Understanding and application of safety protocols and risk assessment techniques.
- Ability to operate effectively within diverse, multicultural teams with respect and inclusion.
- Capability to perform duties in remote locations, adapting to varying weather and requiring physical agility across mining environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel between local and international First Quantum Minerals sites as business needs arise.

Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree is required in at least one of the following disciplines: Mining Engineering, Geosciences, Geometallurgy, Environmental Sciences, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Environmental or Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Law, Commerce, Supply Chain, Economics, Safety Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or Social Sciences.
- Previous experience is not mandatory; however, internships or practical experience within mining operations is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask effectively, perform well under pressure, and thrive in a team setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and artificial intelligence tools.
- Experience or skills managing projects such as planning, execution, and reporting.
- Practical problem-solving capabilities for production-focused challenges through small projects.
