Position Opportunity

Due to sustained and projected growth in the Republic of Ireland's workflows, the Geomatics team invites applications for an Associate role based in Dublin. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with GIS and Land Referencing Service Delivery Leads alongside the Land and Property teams engaged in infrastructure projects throughout Ireland. They will also assist the Ireland Growth lead with business development activities such as tendering and client relations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage spatial and property diligence deliverables necessary for infrastructure projects at every phase, from site and route evaluation through to construction.
  • Offer strategic advice to clients regarding property diligence issues and related regulatory requirements.
  • Participate as part of the Geomatics Leadership team, working collaboratively to deliver excellent, innovative services and foster strong client relationships.
  • Shape the direction of the Geomatics team in the Republic of Ireland to drive service excellence and innovation.
  • Report progress in alignment with the Republic of Ireland business plan, focusing on people, service growth, innovations, business opportunities, success stories, lessons learned, and risk management.
  • Identify and secure key data sources by liaising with suppliers to license, obtain, and establish environments and processes that maximize value.
  • Manage projects and client requests, ensuring objectives are met, relationships are positive, and work quality standards are upheld.
  • Accurately estimate time requirements for requests and confidently advise clients and surveyors.
  • Comprehend all client needs to guide junior team members and quality assure their deliverables consistently.
  • Support junior staff development through line management, feedback provision, and progress evaluations.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience handling property records and information systems, specifically Tailte Éireann, with solid knowledge of relevant infrastructure consenting frameworks.
  • Understanding of land rights and processes for acquisition via negotiation or statutory methods like Compulsory Purchase Orders (Ordú Ceannach Éigeantach) and Statutory Property Notices (Wayleaves/Easements).
  • Practical GIS expertise, preferably within property or utilities/energy sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS software for spatial data capture, management, and analysis.
  • Project management experience including planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting based on key performance indicators.
  • Commercial awareness and keen leadership qualities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with self-motivation.
  • Possession of a degree or master’s in GIS or a closely related discipline such as Geography, Surveying, or Land Management with substantial GIS content.
