About the role
Join a B2B SaaS startup that is working to reshape digital workflows in the trade sector. In this position, you will help build and evolve an AI-driven platform for specialist craft businesses, contributing to products that are meant to be genuinely useful in day-to-day operations. You will work closely with a compact, agile team and play an important part in shaping the technical foundation of the company.
The company is Ole, a startup based in Bielefeld that works together with real craft businesses to advance digitalization in the industry.
What you'll do
- Build and improve the Ole app using Node.js and React.
- Create user-friendly interfaces with Tailwind CSS.
- Work on performance tuning so the product runs smoothly across devices.
- Connect and use different AI models and frameworks, including solutions such as Vercel Chat SDK.
- Design and maintain reliable APIs.
- Continuously refine and support the technical architecture.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with Playwright.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor system behavior and track performance.
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL.
- Practical experience in agile development environments.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or Copilot.
- A consistent focus on clean code.
- Bonus points for experience with AI/LLM integrations and prompt engineering.
- Bonus points for working with monorepo setups such as Turbo or Nx.
