Job description

Position Overview

The Front Desk Supervisor at The Ritz-Carlton in Saudi Arabia will oversee guest check-ins, validate guest identity and payment methods, assign rooms, and issue room keys. This role includes setting up guest accounts accurately, inputting Marriott Rewards information, ensuring rate consistency, managing billing and payments, and compiling daily financial reports. The supervisor is also responsible for guest assistance, coordinating with other departments to fulfill requests, and handling security notifications related to guest safety.

Supervisory and Team Role

This position assists management with employee training, evaluation, motivation, and counseling, acting as a role model and first contact for the Fair Treatment/Open Door policies. Maintaining positive workplace relationships, supporting team objectives, and addressing employee concerns are key. The role requires adherence to company protocols, reporting incidents, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Guest Interaction and Standards

Welcoming guests with professionalism, anticipating service needs, aiding guests with disabilities, and expressing genuine gratitude are essential. Communication must be clear and professional, both verbally and in writing. The supervisor ensures compliance with quality standards and proficiently uses computers and POS systems.

Physical and Other Duties

The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for prolonged periods, and handling objects up to 10 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors must be performed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience.
  • At least one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • No specific licenses or certifications required.
