Role Overview

The company is looking for a Founding Product Designer, marking the first design hire in the organization. This role will focus initially on the clinical platform used by both patients and clinicians—an application where design directly influences care quality. Over the first year, the candidate will set the visual language, design system, and UX standards across Fit:Match’s entire Body AI product range, covering healthcare, sports, and retail sectors. This is a contract-to-hire position.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire product design process for the new clinical platform, which includes patient onboarding, guided exercise interfaces, real-time movement feedback, and post-session follow-ups.
• Create Fit:Match’s inaugural design system, starting with the clinical product and expanding to QuadraScan and the wider portfolio.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and develop the company’s branding and visual identity.
• Set the benchmark for clinical-grade user experience in products spanning hospital and home environments.
• Work closely with engineering teams to define, prototype, and implement product experiences within the development cycle.
• Engage with clinicians and patients throughout research and validation processes.
• Translate complex health data into clear, understandable visual formats.
• Build and lead a design team as the function evolves.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of professional experience in relevant design roles.
• A portfolio highlighting expertise in mobile-first product design, especially on iOS, demonstrating ownership of complete user flows.
• Experience designing for regulated, safety-critical, or measurement-sensitive domains; healthcare background preferred but fintech, biometrics, automotive, or similar experience also considered.
• Proven ability to build or lead design systems from the ground up, not just contribute to existing ones.
• Ability to work independently as the sole designer, making prudent decisions with limited information.
• Strong product insight that complements design skills, including evaluation of features based on user impact and visual consistency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in designing clinical, hospital, or telehealth applications.
• Knowledge of 3D, spatial, or augmented reality design; expertise in body scanning and movement tracking is highly relevant.
• Skills in branding and illustration to influence company visual identity.
• Experience working with machine learning or AI-driven features, especially in clearly and reliably presenting probabilistic outcomes.
