About the Role
Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Floor Technician and play a crucial role in preserving the cleanliness and appearance of floors throughout a long-term care facility. This position supports the mission of positively enriching the communities we serve by maintaining clean and safe environments for residents and visitors.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay ranges from $9.00 to $11.00. Responsibilities
- Perform routine floor care duties including cleaning, buffing, and refinishing floors in resident rooms, communal areas, and offices.
- Ensure safe and efficient use of floor care equipment.
- Keep accurate logs of floor maintenance activities and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and universal precautions to maintain sanitary conditions.
- Engage professionally and courteously with residents, staff, and visitors, providing quality customer service.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience with floor care is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Exhibit a positive demeanor and communicate effectively with building residents, administrative personnel, and management.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination guidelines is required.
- Physical capability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 50 pounds, and to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended durations.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks daily and work safely around food and cleaning chemicals.
- Follow written and oral instructions carefully.
- Residency within the service area is mandatory.
