Field Service Engineer

About the Role

This permanent position based in Pune, India, involves providing comprehensive mechanical support at customer sites for Sidel equipment. The primary responsibilities focus on installation, startup, commissioning, testing, and assisting throughout and beyond the warranty period. The role demands strong technical expertise in mechanical systems and a customer-centric approach to ensure high satisfaction levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing and assessment of equipment at customer facilities following technical, contractual, and safety standards.
• Handle mechanical systems and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for routine tasks and issue resolution guided by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Carry out elementary electrical tasks such as cable wiring.
• Manage equipment non-conformity by carefully inspecting, documenting, and transferring relevant information.
• Maintain and submit timely work and technical reports referencing completed activities.
• Guarantee satisfaction for both internal teams and external customers.
• Adhere strictly to SOPs, Sidel coordination procedures, and customer regulations during all activities.
• Identify and report post-sales opportunities observed at customer locations.
• Mentor junior team members on site conduct, technical tasks, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Collaborate and report to ISM regarding the team's site activities.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and prepare detailed reports during troubleshooting visits.

Candidate Profile

• At least three years of relevant field experience.
• Prior work experience in the beverage sector is preferred.
• Strong mechanical engineering background.
• Familiarity with Sidel's product portfolio is advantageous.
• Understanding of upstream process machinery related to Sidel equipment.
• Willingness to undertake extensive travel, up to 90%, both domestically and internationally.
