Role Overview
As a Field Engineer at SCG Midlands, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless deployment of Surgery Connect, Surgery Assist, Surgery Insights, and Surgery Intellect powered by Tortus in healthcare facilities, primarily GP surgeries across the North of England and Scotland. Your focus will span installing and configuring hardware, cabling, and providing on-site support.
Primary Duties
- Install new CAT5e cabling and enhance existing data cabling infrastructure, including trunking installation.
- Perform site surveys within surgery environments and create detailed reports of findings.
- Set up and configure VoIP phones, phonebars, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi systems integrated with structured cabling.
- Deliver on-site customer assistance, including product demonstrations and training during "Go-Live" phases.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults through thorough troubleshooting.
- Stay current with X-on Health's evolving product suite by attending relevant training via the company Academy as outlined in the training plan.
- Maintain the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
- Complete SSRAMS and Risk Assessments, adhering strictly to company Health & Safety, Data Protection, Information Security, PCI, and DSP protocols.
- Proactively advocate company products and services, contributing to lead generation and referrals.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Expertise in installing and upgrading data cabling and VoIP/Wi-Fi systems within medical or commercial settings.
- Capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a dedication to customer service excellence.
- Effective multitasking and composure under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and robust problem-solving aptitude.
- Possession of a full, clean UK driving license.
- Successful completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is mandatory.
