Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive on-site inspections during all phases of home construction focused on verifying materials and their usage align with company standards and plans.
- Identify materials on-site that are eligible for return credits and coordinate with superintendents to obtain counts of such materials via email.
- Verify the accuracy of materials delivered and collaborate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to incorrect or damaged deliveries.
- Detect improper material usage by subcontractors, guide necessary corrections, and communicate concerns to both Construction and Purchasing departments.
- Stay informed about updates to building codes and OSHA regulations that could impact material types, usage, or quantities.
- Audit job sites to confirm material takeoffs and communicate any needed modifications to purchasing teams.
- Ensure vendors apply materials according to plans during audits.
- Maintain professionalism and ethical conduct to enhance customer service and company profitability.
- Perform field audits including slab preparation measurements prior to concrete pouring.
- Issue back charges for material overages directly or through collaboration with superintendents.
- Make minor on-site corrections when construction issues arise.
- Be willing and able to work overtime and travel overnight when required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two to four years of related experience or training in construction or auditing.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and email communication.
- Physical ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.

- Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
